The 31st Belcanto Opera Festival ROSSINI in Wildbad takes place from 11-29 July 2019 and proposes a broad repertoire: two popular Operas by Rossini as well as three works of his contemporaries will be staged.

The Royal Kurtheater opens the satge for Manuel Garcia's chambeer opera I tre gobbi, a modern premiere  from Barcelona directed by Jochen Schönleber. Furthermore, as a production by the Academy BelCanto, the festival stages the farsa L'accdemia di musica by Simon Mayr. To coronate the program, there will be Rossini's magical Tancredi, conducted by Antonino Fogliani, directed by Jochen Schönleber.

The festival features also Le Philtre by Daniel-François-Esprit Auber and Rossini's Corradino or Mathilde di Sharban, both in a semi-stage version at Trinkhalle. There will be a concert celebrating the Deutsche Rossini Gesellshaft presenting unheard alternative arias from famous Rossini operas.
